    Digital Lifeline for Millions: OIRDC and Mulk Med Transform Healthcare Access with Virtual Hospital Network

    MENA Newswire: Kinshasa, DRC — In a bold move to revolutionize national healthcare access, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), through (OIRDC), has signed a landmark partnership with Global Digital Healthcare Leader Mulk Med Healthcare to implement a Nationwide Network Of Virtual Hospitals, AI-powered diagnostic systems, and a wide range of smart, technology-driven medical infrastructure. At the heart of this transformation is the rollout of the Mulk Health & Hope (HNH) Card, a digital health privilege card that will grant millions of Congolese families access to world-class medical services, regardless of geography or income level.

    Under the visionary leadership of El Hajj Imam Hassan Bondo Tutu Ismael, President of OIRDC, the initiative is positioned as a foundational pillar in Congo’s path toward self-reliance in healthcare and innovation. “This is a defining moment for our country,” said President Hassan Bondo. “The DRC is no longer waiting for healthcare to reach us — we are building it, digitizing it, and delivering it directly to our people. With Mulk Med as our strategic partner, we now have the expertise, technology, and infrastructure to turn every region into a center of care.”

    The partnership includes the phased deployment of virtual hospitals, TeleICU monitoring centers, AI-enabled Teleradiology platforms, and Smart Ambulances equipped with onboard telehealth and live emergency response systems. In addition, a robust pharmaceutical program will establish in-house pharmacies and explore local drug manufacturing reducing dependency on imports while improving drug quality and accessibility. Mulk Med will also offer remote-guided surgical support, mobile diagnostic systems, and 24/7 specialist consultation via a centralized digital command network.

    Joseph Diwampovesa Diangienda, Economic Department Commissioner  said “This project is not just about technology — it’s about empowering communities. We’re launching Africa’s region comprehensive Virtual Hospital Network, connecting remote villages to ICUs, radiology labs, emergency services, and specialists through a unified digital platform.
